Future as Lloyds Chartered (Under Review with ASIC)

In line with our firm's future endeavours, we are actively pursuing Ministerial consent for the use of our proposed company name, "Lloyds Chartered." This application is currently under review, as we seek to align our corporate identity with our strategic vision for the future.

The proposed use of the word "Chartered " in our company name, "Lloyds Chartered," does not indicate or imply a Royal Charter establishment. We would like to emphasise that our intention to incorporate this term in our company name is solely motivated by our firm's relocation to Sydney Olympic Park and our desire to portray a more professional image in line with our expansion into the corporate field. The use of the word "Chartered " in this context is in compliance with the relevant criteria set forth in the Corporations Act 2001.

Historically, the term "Chartered " has been employed in corporate nomenclature to convey a recognised level of professional competence, adherence to ethical standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement. It has been associated with various professional bodies, institutions, and organisations that have met specific criteria and standards of excellence. This usage is distinct from the concept of a Royal Charter, which grants special privileges or status to an organisation by the sovereign authority.

In the present case, our objective in adopting the term "Chartered " in our company name is to align ourselves with the principles of professionalism, quality, and expertise commonly associated with this term. By doing so, we aim to present ourselves as a reputable and forward-thinking organisation within our chosen industry. We believe that the use of "Chartered " will contribute to enhancing our brand identity and facilitating our growth endeavours.

Furthermore, we wish to reiterate that our proposed company name, "Lloyds Chartered," does not bear any relation to a Royal Charter establishment. We are not a company that has received a Royal Charter, nor do we seek to create an association with such institutions. Our choice to use the term "Chartered " is rooted in its historical significance within corporate naming conventions and its non-Royal Charter-related connotations.

We are fully committed to complying with all legal requirements and regulations governing company names, including those outlined in the Corporations Act 2001. As part of the process, we have initiated the necessary steps to obtain the required approval for the use of our proposed company name, "Lloyds Chartered."

All current employees, including the Director of the firm, possess the requisite certifications and qualifications specific to their respective professions within our company. This fact serves as evidence that the use of the word "Chartered" in our company name pertains to our professional expertise rather than any association with a Royal Charter. It reinforces our commitment to maintaining a high level of competency and specialization within our chosen field.

In summary, we emphasise that the proposed use of the term "Chartered " in our company name does not imply any connection to a Royal Charter establishment. Our intention is solely to adopt a name that reflects our commitment to professionalism, quality, and expertise in our industry.
